Two consumer products that survived as economy in Brazil collapsed were lipstick as well as premium beer. Buying more of premium beer remained an important strategy for consumers in the country to ward off recessionary expectations. Besides this it staved off the gloom that surrounded the country points out researchers at Allied Market Research One promising spot, demonstrating Brazilians’ requirement for a pick-me-up as well as making the demand for higher quality beer was the continuous resilience in buying the premium beer. As per a study approximately 19 percent of the consumers said they preferred buying either a mid –market or an upmarket brand even during poor economic conditions.

The regions also offer brands that many may have never heard of including Tona and Gallo. These beers are definitely worth a try when you are travelling down south. Allied Market Research has been closely monitoring the developments in the beer industry especially in Latin America. Its report titled “World Beer Market - Opportunities and Forecasts, 2014 – 2020" reveals that the sector is ready to register a CAGR of 9.3 percent during the forecast period. Beer types such as strong beer and light beer would contribute to the revenue generated by the industry. Some of the prominent brands discussed in the report are Molson Coors Brewing Company, Beijing Yanjing Brewery, Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller Plc. among other brands.
