Flow cytometers have enabled scientists studying the cell populations, analyze subpopulations in minutes. Furthermore, it is much faster and more reliable than other options available in the market. Not only are the flow cytometers accurate than other devices, the information it provides are also detailed. Besides analyzing the percentage of red cells compared to the green cells, these devices can offer extensive data on dull – green as well as bright – green cells, say research analysts at Allied Market Research, studying the growth, size and share and demand of Austria flow cytometry market.
Advantages driving flow cytometers in Austria
The capability of the flow cytometers to spot certain things that several alternatives cannot, is driving the flow cytometers market in Austria. By using the devices, researchers can take a closer look at the uniform cells population and at the same time make the most of any non –uniformity highlighted during the study. In addition, the devices take off the debris, when offering the final data. This paramount level of accuracy as well as reliability has opened new growth opportunities for the Austria flow cytometry market.
Melanoma spread now detectable by flow cytometers
An advanced laser – based technique can accurately detect, what doctors term as “circulating tumour cells (CTCs)”. These cells are majorly responsible for spreading disease like cancer in the human body. When tested, the advance laser technique presented a promising result in its initial study on 14 patients with melanoma. According to a group of experts at the famous Acousys Biodevices located in Pittsburgh and few local medical institutions, which examined the archived blood samples, the study will soon become a strong prognostic tool for rising melanoma cases. However, the study can offer more benefits if further assessments back up the initial tests reveal scientists at the Acousys Biodevices. The researchers used “photoacoustic flow cytometry kit” for the study. Scientists are of the faith that photoacoustic flow cytometry tests can be easily carried out in combination with an array of factors such as the gender and age of the patients. Such sophisticated model will accurately outline whether the melanoma would spread in the human body or not.
John Viator, the chief scientific officer and director of biomedical engineer at Pittsburgh’s Duquesne University, explained “The data suggests we have a strong prognostic tool which warrants further testing for its ability to accurately detect early metastasis, capture intact CTCs as well as guide the management of advanced stage melanoma patients. Viator added "The question is what number of cells are indicative of early metastatic disease. Our hope is that there will be a level of demarcation that supports treating stage 3 patients and not waiting for imaginable tumors [to develop]."
Laser-based technique experiences greater adoption rate
Several studies conducted in Austria, highlights that laser – based technology will witness an increased adoption rate, especially in the bio-analysis applications. This will help the Austria flow cytometry market to become a billion-dollar industry in next 10 years.
Eminent research analysts reckon that the industry is ready to embrace significant changes owing to advancements in technology that establishes a strong base especially in the biotechnology laboratories for different applications. Some of these applications include protein engineering, counting, biomarker detection and sorting.
Hardware segment shows exponential growth
The demand for small –sized, high – throughput and strong flow cytometers are growing rapidly. Factors responsible for driving the industry include the recent advancements in chemical engineering, microbiology, biochemistry, cytology, immunology as well as others. In addition, advance scientific study in fields such as fluorochrome chemistry, computer science, monoclonal antibodies, electronics and marine biology is offering additional momentum and opening new avenues for Austria flow cytometry market. The expansion of cytometry applications from molecular to genomic and cellular analysis, growing R & D, research investments as well as a dramatic transformation in small –molecule drug innovation is expected to further growth in the market. Researchers add that industry consolidation that is likely to experience a dramatic shift will result in highly integrated competitors, who can operate as sole-source market vendors for customers.

Miniaturized sorting is trending
The development of small and convenient laser devices will further increase the use of cytometers in clinical laboratories. In 2016, several private enterprises will be seen concentrating on the goal to commercialize color space – time coding the cell sorting and release compact cell at an affordable price. Scientists believe that once this technology, which includes a disposable sorting chip capable of 3 ways cell sorting proves viable, its adoption would bring in great benefits. They explain that the adoption will not only lower the size but also the cost of instrumentation.
Companies such as Nanosort located in San Diego have earlier worked on the designing “lab-on-a-chip” cytometer. The company had received funds from the US Department of Health and Human Services. Nanosort had discovered as well as patent about 3 methods that helped in the advancement of cell sorting at just a fraction of the size and cost of conventional devices. The researchers in the company applied microfluids, in order to channel the cells as well as piezoelectric actuators. This proved highly beneficial in sorting the cells. Another technique known as COST was also applied to detect different colors with just a single detector. Officials at Nanosort believe that such innovations in the Austria flow cytometry market would minimize complexities and costs, thus making advance nanosorting equipment accessible to many researchers, involved in biomedical discoveries.
