Professional 3D cameras finds increasing applications

Since decades man has used cameras as passive objects. Although these cameras respond to human instruction like typed and tapped commands well, man can never expect them to identify the world around them. This has increased the demand for advanced devices and high performance sensors that can identify their surroundings. There is also an increasing need felt for cameras that communicates with the world around and humans in an urbane way. Corporate photographers and other entertainment industry professionals now want gadgets that can recognize objects in a single shot and identify the size and distance. Eyeing one such demand, last month a Switzerland based company ALPA, decided to develop custom lens shades useful in high performance cameras using three dimensional printing. 


Meanwhile the number professionals intending to modify concepts focus and solve technical issues and help aid users visualize complicated design patterns gave multiplied in 2015. Further, rise in 3D conceptual visualization in exterior and interior real estate designs and product has boosted the 3D camera sales. Today, conceptual visualization and remodelling segment are the key target industries for professional 3D camera business. An article in Inman reported that David Eraker, co-founder of Redfin used his professional 3D camera and software to present models for over a dozen listings for his new real estate project. 


Moreover, constant competition from world’s qualified fashion photographers, realtors and movie makers have persuaded top market players to adopt effective marketing strategy. Leading players such as Canon Inc., Matterport Inc., Nikon Corp. and Fujifilm Corp. among other are seen luring customer with unmatched deals, festive offers and end of the season sales. Recently Fstoppers disclosed that Nikon has decided to pay the sales tax for customer’s second purchase from the B&H. A recent report published by Allied Market Research titled “Global Professional 3D Camera Market,” outlines that three dimensional camera segment by application such as photography and recording would witness exponential growth through 2014 to 2020. 


To top it all, the investment pockets in the professional 3D camera segment also seems to be expanding with Nikon’s recent expansion into medical imaging by acquiring Optos. According to a recent market buzz Canon entering surveillance market and Leica surviving the recent digital facelift also indicate a positive growth in an aforesaid segment. Apart from this head grabbing innovations like high-end medium format XF Camera System by Phase One and large image sensor by Ricoh among others are ready to boost the sales of professional 3D camera.
