Lawful interception refers to electronic surveillance and monitoring data transmissions of an authority or an individual by lawful authorities for tracking activities and collecting evidence. As per the report, File transfer, text messages and data downloads are the areas that would experience the most interception activities. The interception over telephonic conversations would reduce over time as VoIP call takes over market and increases use of free apps such as Skype and others.
