Recently, Mercedes-Benz India declared to launch the 2020 GLE SUV in January 2020. The car follows an AIRMATIC air suspension system. The system contains adjustable air springs and an Adaptive Damping System (ADS). The ADS improves handling during instant adjustments. Both the AIRMATIC and ADS work together to offer improved performance and comfort. In addition, while air springs adjust to the road surface moving up and down, the AIRMATIC suspension system increases or decreases the air to lessen the effects of bumps on the passengers or driver.
On the other notation, the new SUV Cayenne Coupe introduced by Porsche recently has an inbuilt adaptive air suspension system with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). The adaptive air suspension system offers a constant vehicle position including self-leveling and ride-height control. Other than this, the suspension systems also offer adjustments for ground clearance and loading levels. On the other hand, PASM, an electronic damping control system adjusts the damping force on the wheels accordingly to the road conditions. Furthermore, it offers three modes including SPORT, SPORT PLUS, and comfort. On the other hand, the control unit improves the driving conditions and adjusts the damping force on wheels based on the selected mode. This improves stability, comfort, and performance while driving.
The air suspension system plays an important role to make the vehicle superior. It increases comfort and improves the riding experience. In addition, the technological and electronic advancements have improved air suspension systems to be precise for different vehicles. Furthermore, an air suspension system makes towing easier, provides tuning instantaneously, and adjusts handling in varied situations. These factors are responsible for the growth of the market.
