Godrej & Boyce introduced its forklifts powered by lithium-ion batteries with an in-house-developed Battery Management System in August 2024. Li-ion technology offers comprehensive and transformative advantages and provides more than four times the battery life of traditional lead-acid batteries. This solution meets a significant requirement in India's material handling segment because it offers a self-contained, secure lithium-ion battery system. 

Kalmar and BlueScope initiated collaboration with a significant forklift truck order  

Kalmar secured a deal to supply BlueScope, an Australian steel producer, with 13 forklift trucks for its Western Port steel processing facility under a rental contract in October 2024. The order consists of two Kalmar medium forklifts, five Kalmar heavy forklifts, and six Kalmar light electric forklifts. All these assets are secured by the Complete Care service agreement of 8 years.
