Press fit connector is a connector in which the shaft can be inserted directly in the PCB holes. Since the shaft of the connector is fitted tightly in the PCB holes, the connection can be established without the need for any soldering. Compared to traditional soldering connections, press-fit connections have lesser flaws and avoid excessive and frequent heating of the circuitry. Moreover, press-fit connection allows for a high current-carrying capacity due to its excellent electrical transfer characteristics.
