Proptech or property technology has recently created waves in the real estate industry. It has become an effective solution for many real estate specialists dealing with loads of paperwork, enabling investors to have a high-yield asset class for fresh opportunities. This technology can encompass everything from online real estate portals and apps to 3D printing and drones. Incorporation of this cutting-edge technology in the real estate sector can significantly help agents and brokers connect with more potential buyers and sellers. This article talks about the propitious benefits of Proptech and the role of major players in reshaping the industry.

How Proptech is highly beneficial for the real estate industry:

These days, these tech tools have allowed real estate experts to optimize the way individuals buy, sell, market, and manage a property. This is mainly because this technology has improved transparency and collaboration within the industry. For instance, it can help streamline communication between buyers and sellers and provide insightful data that can help individuals and businesses make informed decisions regarding properties.

Moreover, this modern technology can help real estate investors with improved ROI. It includes advanced tools like data analytics that can help investors get a clear insight into the properties and offer a better understanding to manage their properties at their best. Previously, landlords used to face difficulties in filling vacant flats in their buildings. However, with the use of top-notch mobile apps, people can easily find apartments in their nearby area. Also, landlords can easily make their lease terms and keep track of their tenants’ payments through these apps.

This cutting-edge technology has also helped to facilitate robust communication between landlords and tenants to stay in touch and resolve any issues that may arise. It has also enabled individuals to directly communicate in the real estate industry, aiding buyers to make a clear idea before purchasing a property. Communication tools such as chatbots have acted as effective tools for real estate professionals to connect with their clients and provide them with information promptly. In previous days, property listings used to be more chaotic and were accessible through print media only. However, today, the incorporation of modern technology such as virtual reality, has provided an immersive experience for buyers to wishlist a property without visiting the site physically.

The Proptech market is witnessing exponential growth owing to rapid urbanization and the increasing adoption of modern technology across industries. Based on end-users, the property managers/agents sub-segment is expected to gain the lion’s share by generating a revenue of $39818.18 million over the estimated period from 2022 to 2032. Country-wise, India is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 25.6% over the analysis timeframe.

Mergers and acquisitions in the industry:

In February 2023, MRI Software, a leading developer of real estate and investment management software announced its acquisition of PropTech Group. This acquisition would benefit MRI Software by strengthening its MRI Living, an array of residential sales and property management solutions. Also, the companies planned to bring innovative Proptech solutions to real estate agencies across Australia and New Zealand.

Similarly, Aurum PropTech, a new-age property technology company announced its acquisition of assets and technology platform MYRE Capital, a leading investment platform for real-estate investors. With this acquisition, the companies aimed to offer high-yield investment opportunities through their tech-enabled property technology platforms.

To conclude, Proptech technology has brought a paradigm shift in the real estate industry with improved customer experience and extensive investment opportunities. Furthermore, the growing adoption of advanced technologies such as AI and big data in the real estate sector can transform the industry with expanded possibilities.
