When it comes to taste and tradition, what’s better than pouring yourself a glass of craft beer? Unlike standard beer manufacturers, craft brewers spend enough time to enhance their product in terms of quality and taste rather than focusing on marketing campaigns. The rising admiration among beer enthusiasts has served a great purpose for several craft beer companies and other alternative groups to involve craft beers with more tempting choices for their customers.
Other than this, the urges for traditional beers as well are accountable for the rising trend of craft beers. According to a report published by Allied Market Research, the craft beer market is projected to reach 186.58 billion at a CAGR of 8.0% by 2025. Moreover, various leading brewer companies and top hotels have initiated to broaden the range of craft beer and involved them in their liquor menu. AB InBev is on the way to serve Taj hotels with its micro-breweries for selling craft beers. On the other hand, Virgin Wines has also expanded its range with craft beer and online mixing options for customers. Following are some of the recent happenings:
AB InBev to start Micro-Breweries for selling craft beers at Taj Hotels:
Top hotels, in India, are in the process to include craft beer in their menu. An agreement has been signed between AB InBev, the world’s top brewers and the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), an Indian hotel chain by TATA to inaugurate a chain of 15 microbreweries in the next five years. Moreover, the arrangement of the micro-breweries will start from all Taj hotel’s properties by the coming year. The partnership for the project has estimated 150 crores.
The president of AB InBev Ben Verhaert stated that the company will ensure to shape the beer category as it has a vast portfolio of craft brands across the world, with excellent hospitality and beautiful locations offered by Taj. Furthermore, the company will merge with local brewers for the production of craft beers rather than selling their bottled beer brands. However, the company is still waiting for regulatory approvals and working for its financial contours, sourcing, menu, and branding.
Besides, Puneet Chhatwal, MD at IHCL stated that this partnership with the hospitality industry in India is first of its kind. Also, he added that AB InBev will be inaugurating micro-breweries at some of their hotels with 500 beer brands. Moreover, Bengaluru will be the first of its properties to open the micro-breweries, which will further be followed by Goa, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
Virgin Wines to offer monthly cases of 12 craft beer and an online option for mixing beer cases:
On the other hand, this online wine retail shop has also expanded its range of liquor. After receiving a devastating response for its initially launched spirit and beer, the company has moved beyond to promote its range with craft beers. One of the major online UK wine retailers Virgin Wines has begun the marketing for its extended range of products that include nearly 300 spirits and a craft beer shop that will soon offer the customers to blend their beer cases online.
The presenter stated that, even after being UK’s leading online wine retailer, the company always seeks for more ways to add value and improve its offers for the customers, along with expanding the range beyond wines. Further, she added that earlier they have provided the only option of pre-mixing however, they have decided to introduce two more beer initiatives including BeerBox that will provide 12 craft beers monthly, and an option of mixing their beer cases online.
Furthermore, the company plans to enlarge its ranges for both the products and purposes to make their beers and spirits in the coming year.
In recent years, there has been a rise in the number of beer aficionados. Moreover, the crowd has been drifted towards traditional beers. Also, the brewers as well have focused to engross the craft beer with better taste and range of flavors.
