Olympus America Inc. exclusively distribute the system in the U.S. The Guardenia™ system contains and isolates tissue during or before surgical removal and/or extracorporeal manual morcellation.
The Guardenia™ system optimizes space within the incision by minimizing its encroachment and maintaining a stable protective area for manual tissue morcellation. Its containment bag and guard design offer enhanced durability and better protection for both the specimen and the incision compared to other devices on the market.
Samsung's premium ultrasound system ‘V8’
Samsung Medison, a leading global medical equipment company and an affiliate of Samsung Electronics, unveiled the V8, a new premium ultrasound system designed to deliver superior image quality, improved usability, and enhanced convenience for medical professionals. The 'V' in V8 stands for 'Versatile,' showcasing the integration of advanced features from premium ultrasound systems across various specialties, including obstetrics, radiology, orthopedics, and cardiology.
For radiology, the V8 features S-Shearwave Imaging™, which assesses tissue stiffness related to disease using ultrasonic transverse elasticity. Additionally, the system includes S-Fusion™, which enables real-time alignment of ultrasound images with cross-sectional studies such as MRI, providing instant reconstruction in the corresponding plane.
