A strong insulation and capping enables it to endure oil, smoke, rain, and other factors. The cost incurred in repairing work and risk of fire is high for casing & capping wiring system. 

Batten wiring (CTS or TRS):

TRS cables is available in single core, double core, and triple core oval shaped cables. It is slightly affected by lubrication of oil. Otherwise, it is chemical proof, stem proof, and water proof. TRS cables are suitable for all seasons and held on batten made up of teak wood of thickness 10 mm. It is easy to customize, repair, and install. Batten wiring is cheaper as compared to other wiring systems with reduced chances of leakage current and good paraphrase. Though it needs more cables & wires for installation, it is strong and durable. It is suitable for locations where voltage requirement is less than 250V.

Conduit wiring:

There are two types of conduit wiring surface and concealed. In surface conduit wiring, conduits are installed on roof and wall. Holes are made on surfaces of walls at equal distances to install conduits. In concealed conduit wiring, conduits are installed in wall slots and covered with plasters. This is the most popular, reliable, and durable type of conduit wiring as it adds to the beauty of a home. It is the safest wiring system providing a beautiful appearance. It does not corrode and can be used in humid & smoky areas. Customization, repairing, and maintenance of this type of wiring are easy. The risk of electric shock is also reduced.
