Similarly, in January 2022, Covestro AG, a German company producing polyurethane and polycarbonate raw materials merged with Japan Fine Coatings Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of UV-curing materials for use in protective coatings, inks, and matrix materials for optical glass fibres and cables. Under this agreement, Covestro AG aimed to strengthen its presence in the optical fiber coatings industry by using JFC’s UV-curable coatings.
