In the project, the team introduced a novel method for sterilizing medical equipment using portable steam cylinders powered by renewable energy sources, such as solar energy. These cylinders are strategically placed in rural areas to provide power and steam generation. Additionally, the team designed specialized sterilization chambers to make effective use of the portable steam for sterilizing dental tools. The project was showcased during a medical camp at the IIT Madras campus on October 14, 2023.

W&H unveiled new product innovations for dental equipment in North America

This new model is designed to adhere to rigorous sterilization standards while offering a quick and intuitive operation suitable for any dental setting. The Clave45+ features an LCD interface for easy cycle selection and programmable settings, allowing users to customize the sterilization process according to their needs. It is developed for efficiency, with faster cycle times to reduce downtime and provide sterilized instruments more quickly.
